ARTS & CULTURE NETWORK

Wigan borough is home to a large community of artists and creative practitioners. The Arts & Culture Network connects artists, creatives, freelancers, cultural organisations, and community groups across the Wigan Borough. It serves as a way of sharing opportunities, events, funding, training, commissions and sector news, while helping to strengthen connections across the region's cultural community.

The network is open to anyone working in or interested in arts, culture and the creative industries, regardless of discipline or career stage. We welcome artists, makers, performers, producers, writers, creative freelancers, organisations and community practitioners.

To join the network mailing list, simply email C.Bogg-hargroves@wigan.gov.uk. Members will receive updates about opportunities, events and activity taking place across the cultural sector.

The Arts & Culture Network also works in partnership with Wigan & Leigh Art Map. The Art Map is a growing online directory celebrating the vibrant community of artists and arts organisations who live in or regularly contribute to the arts and culture of Wigan Borough. The map offers an easy way for residents, visitors, and anyone interested in the local arts scene to discover the breadth of creativity happening across the borough. Our hope is the Art Map becomes a welcoming gateway to the creative heart of our community.
